Rahul Dravid is fluent in several languages, including Kannada, English, Marathi, and Hindi.

Before pursuing a cricket career, Dravid earned a degree in commerce from St. Joseph's College of Commerce and was enrolled in an engineering college.

In 2003 he played a total of 12 matches for Scotland, which included 11 one-dayers and one tour game against Pakistan.
